Powys train death collision woman named

An inquest has been opened into the death of a woman who was struck by a train at a rural crossing in Powys.
Anne Laidlaw, 53, from Machynlleth, died in the incident at Derwenlas at 2320 GMT on 10 December.
British Transport Police (BTP) launched an investigation involving the 2212 GMT Barmouth to Machynlleth service, but said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
Powys coroner Peter Maddox opened and adjourned the inquest on Tuesday.
