Second arrested after Barclays Machynlleth guard theft

Police have arrested a second man in connection with theft of cash from a private security guard outside a branch of Barclays Bank in Machynlleth, Powys.

The man, 26, from the Birmingham area, was arrested on suspicion of jointly committing robbery last Thursday.

A 24-year-old man also from the Birmingham area appeared in Brecon Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded to custody until Friday.

Police are continuing to look for a third man, who is white and in his 20s.

Dyfed-Powys Police thanked members of the local community for their help.
