Swimmer is pulled unconscious from sea at Aberystwyth
A man has been taken to hospital after being found unconscious in the sea at Aberystwyth, coastguards say.
The man, who is thought to be a regular swimmer aged around 40, was reported to be face down in the water.
A member of the public staying in a hotel overlooking the town's seafront raised the alarm just after 08:00 BST.
Milford Haven Coastguards sent the Aberystwyth RNLI inshore lifeboat and local coastguard rescue team to the scene.
An RAF Sea King Helicopter from Valley was also called out.
The lifeboat crew pulled the man from the water and paramedics took him to hospital.
