Aberystwyth sea rescue returns three men to shore

Three men from Staffordshire have been rescued after their vessel suffered engine failure off the coast of Aberystwyth.

Lifeguards spotted the vessel in difficulty off Aberystwyth south beach at 13:10 BST.

The 15ft vessel had drifted inshore and was being blown towards Castle Rock.

A man in his 60s was taken ashore by a lifeguard on a rescue board before a lifeboat crew arrived to provide help and bring the vessel back to the beach.
