Inquest opens into Suffolk woman's cliff fall at Mwnt, Ceredigion

An inquest has opened into the death of a woman who fell from cliffs in Ceredigion.

Lesley Anne Hayes, 55, who lived in Suffolk, died after falling at Mwnt, near Cardigan, last Friday.

Coastguards, an RNLI lifeboat and an RAF helicopter were involved in a seven-hour operation following the incident at about 13:15 BST.

Ceredigion coroner Peter Brunton adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.

Dyfed-Powys Police said last Friday that the woman fell from "a considerable height".

The air ambulance was also involved in the incident.

Police have said there were no suspicious circumstances.
