42 jobs at Benson Heating in Knighton at risk
A heating company in Powys plans to close at the end of the year, putting 42 jobs at risk.
Benson Heating's parent company AmbiRad Ltd wants to reduce its manufacturing sites from four to three by shutting its base in Knighton.
AmbiRad said the move followed a review, and staff were informed earlier this month.
Benson Heating supplies warm-air heating products for industrial, building and retail sectors.
An AmbiRad spokesperson said: "The employees at the manufacturing site in Knighton, Powys, were informed on 21 May, 2014 of a proposal to reduce the number of current manufacturing sites from four to three, which will close the plant in Knighton towards the end of 2014."
The company is holding a consultation process over the planned job losses with its staff in Knighton.
