A40 crash near Brecon leaves three injured, one seriously

Three people have been injured, one seriously, in a crash on the A40 in Powys.

The two-vehicle collision happened between Brecon and Bwlch at 15:00 BST on Thursday.

Fire crews had to cut a man and a woman free from the wreckage.

A man in his 50s was flown to hospital in Cardiff with serious injuries while the other two people were taken by ambulance to Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.

Dyfed-Powys Police have asked anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
