Powys council waste and recycling collection changes on hold
A shake-up of recycling and waste collection in Powys has been put on hold, the council has said.
Residents had been warned that Monday collections would stop from the end of the month.
But the council said it was delaying the changes as it wanted more time to make collections more efficient by reducing the number of vehicle movements need to do complete the work.
A revised start date has yet to be announced.
Nigel Brinn, the council's head of highways, transport and recycling, said there were 67,000 domestic properties and collection points across the county.
"The changes will affect the majority of households so it extremely important that we get it right," he said.
