Consultation on future of Flintshire's leisure services

  • Published

Flintshire council is to launch a two-month consultation to decide the future of its leisure services.

The council's executive board met on Tuesday to consider a report which included proposals which could potentially lead to 21 job losses.

The board instead chose to consult with groups including staff, children and town and community councils to consider the best way forward.

The results of the consultation will be discussed in December.

The council has already said it aims to "control expenditure and focus services on participation in sport".
