Three men have been arrested after a cash machine was stolen from a Denbighshire hospital.

The machine was taken from Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, at about 0300 GMT on 15 December.

North Wales Police said one man was arrested in the early hours of 15 December in the Abergele area, Conwy, where a vehicle was also recovered.

Two men were arrested following early morning raids on 16 December. All three men are in custody at St Asaph.

Officers are appealing for help tracing a dark Volvo 50 estate car which is believed to have been involved in the incident, and was used to transport the stolen machine.

Detective Inspector Iestyn Davies said: "We are following a number of leads including the examination of CCTV footage and we would appeal to anyone who might have seen the Volvo car in the north Wales area yesterday morning to contact North Wales Police on 101 if in Wales".

Alternatively, witnesses can call 0845 6071001 (Welsh language), or 0845 6071002 (English).
