Woman, 55, charged over Plas Madoc community scheme

A 55-year-old Denbighshire woman has been charged with fraud and theft after an investigation into alleged financial irregularities involving a scheme to regenerate one of Wales' most deprived housing estates.

The woman, from Henllan, is accused of 13 fraud and theft charges in relation to the Communities First scheme at Plas Madoc, Wrexham.

She has been bailed to appear before magistrates in Mold on 5 January, 2011.

Two men have been previously charged.

A 35-year-old man from Manchester is charged with four offences of money laundering and one offence of fraud.

He was bailed and is due to appear before magistrates on 31 December.

A 46-year-old man has been charged with theft and fraud as part of the same investigation, and is due in court in Mold on 31 December.
