Armed robbery at Prestatyn One Stop Shop

Police are hunting two masked men, believed to be armed, who carried out a robbery at a shop in Prestatyn, Denbighshire.

The pair made off with a cash till and a small amount of money after threatening staff at One Stop Shop, Ffordd Ffynnon, at 2140 GMT on Tuesday.

Police said although the workers were unharmed, they had been "traumatised" by the incident.

There were no customers in the shop at the time of the robbery.

Both offenders had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing.

Police said CCTV images from security cameras were being studied.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101, if in Wales, or 0845 6071002. Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
