Person in hospital after Connah's Quay house fire

A person has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Flintshire in the early hours of Thursday.

North Wales Fire Service said the cause of the blaze in High Street, Connah's Quay was under investigation.

The fire broke out in the bathroom shortly after 0330 BST, and it is believed to have involved towels, clothes and a shower curtain.

Five people were in the house and one was taken to hospital, while two others received precautionary check-ups.
