Witness plea over Denbighshire fatal road collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman died in a road traffic collision in Denbighshire.

A white Peugeot van and a silver Renault car collided on the Lower Denbigh Road between St Asaph and Trefnant at about 0900 BST on Thursday.

The passenger of the Renault, from the Hawarden area of Flintshire, died in hospital. The van driver's injuries were described as not life-threatening.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, if in Wales.
