An inquest has opened into the death of a holidaymaker from Shropshire who went missing in north Wales.

Graham Austin, 53, of Shifnal, was last seen at 04:30 BST on Sunday when he left the caravan he was staying in near Corwen, Denbighshire.

Police divers recovered his body on Thursday from the Llyn Brenig reservoir, near Cerrigydrudion.

North-east Wales coroner John Gittins has adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.

Mr Austin's car had been found at the reservoir, which borders Conwy and Denbighshire.

A post mortem examination has been carried out at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyddan but no cause of death was given at Friday's inquest hearing.
