Farm worker Aled Lloyd Jones's chainsaw death inquest opens

A farm worker found dead in a field may have slipped while using a chainsaw to lop a branch, a hearing in Ruthin has been told.

Aled Lloyd Jones, 48, was erecting fences at Bryn Llys, Llandyrnog, when the incident happened on 14 January.

Mr Jones, of Peniel, near Denbigh, was found about 500 metres from the house, near a tractor with its engine running.

The cause of death is unconfirmed and the Health and Safety Executive is investigating.

The inquest was adjourned for a full hearing on a date to be fixed.
