Further murder arrest in Connah's Quay stabbing probe
A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 19-year-old was stabbed to death in Connah's Quay.
Matthew James Cassidy, from Merseyside, died on Bethel Place on Monday.
A 19-year-old man from Merseyside was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder, bringing the total arrests to six.
Det Ch Insp Arwyn Jones said despite the arrests people with "key information" were not coming forward.
He said: "It is vitally important for the public to understand that this was the brutal murder of a teenage boy who had his whole life ahead of him, a life that came to a tragic end on May 29.
"I strongly believe the answers as to who was responsible for this murder lie within the local community and I would implore you to come forward and speak to us."
Police have been given further time to question two men, 48 and 18 arrested on suspicion of murder. Both remain in police custody.
A man in his 40s and two women, aged 19 and 60, were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The man is his 40s and the 60-year-old woman, both from Flintshire, have been interviewed and released without charge.
The 19-year-old woman, from Merseyside, remains in custody.
Mr Cassidy's family said they were "completely and utterly devastated".
