An RAF Chinook helicopter has made a "precautionary forced landing" on farmland in Conwy county.

The crew landed the aircraft in a field close to the A5 near Pentrefoelas after it developed what the RAF described as a "small hydraulic leak."

No one was hurt and the helicopter, which was on a routine training flight, was apparently undamaged.

Engineers from the helicopter's base at RAF Odiham in Hampshire were tasked to repair the aircraft.

Emergency services were not required at the scene.
