Two rescues for RAF helicopters near Barmouth

A short time later three teenagers had to be winched to safety after trying to walk through the water at Barmouth estuary near Arthog.

Coastguards said the youngsters, aged between 16 and 18, were left "cold and shocked."

They had got into difficulty just before 2100 BST.

A helicopter from RAF Valley was called to airlift the kite surfer who coastguards said was found with a "nasty head injury".
