Fresh police appeal over Dolgellau disorder

Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses following a serious disturbance near a children's play park.

North Wales Police want to speak to anyone who saw the incident in Dolgellau, Gwynedd, which led to one man sustaining serious facial injuries.

Two further men were also injured in the disturbance, which involved six teenage males and two women.

The incident happened between midnight and 0230 BST on Saturday 14 August.

A 21-year-old man taken to the intensive care unit at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, has been taken off the critical list but has serious facial injuries.

The two other injured men were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor and later released.

Six males aged 15 to 19 and two women aged 20 and 21 were granted police bail following the incident.

Dolgellau mayor Delwyn Evans said that serious disorder on this scale did not happen often in the town and that people were "stunned".
