Horse riders airlifted to hospital from Llyn peninsula

A woman has been discharged from hospital after she and a felllow rider fell from horses on a beach on the Llyn peninsula in Gwynedd on Saturday.

A Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley, Anglesey, airlifted her from Traeth Penllech, near Porthdinllaen.

Two women were flown to hospital, but Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor said only one was admitted for treatment.

The other woman went to hospital by air ambulance, and coastguards cleared the beach to provide a landing place.

Both women are in their 20s and from the local area.
