Ffion Wyn Roberts murder in Porthmadog denied by man

A 53-year-old man has denied murdering care home worker Ffion Wyn Roberts, 22, in Porthmadog, Gwynedd.

Iestyn Davies made his plea when he appeared via video link before Cardiff Crown Court.

He was further remanded in custody, and a trial will be held in March next year in a court in north Wales.

Ms Roberts' body was discovered in a ditch in Porthmadog on 10 April. The cause of her death was recorded at her inquest as drowning and strangulation.
