Police say death of Gwynedd man is 'unexplained'

Police are treating the death of a 58-year-old man whose body was found on a country road in Gwynedd as 'unexplained'.

Dewi Wyn Jones, who lived locally, was found between Pentre Uchaf and Llithfaen on the Lleyn peninsula at 2100 GMT on Sunday.

The body of a man was also found under the Menai suspension bridge on Tuesday.

North Wales Police say it is not the body of a local 19-year-old man missing since last week.

Chief Inspector Nigel Harrison said the Lleyn death was not believed to be suspicious.

A post mortem examination will be held on Wednesday.

On Anglesey police have not identified the body found at 1524 GMT on Tuesday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and police said they are not treating his death as suspicious.
