Man dies on Anglesey railway line

Transport police are investigating after a man died after being struck by a train on a railway line on Anglesey.

Officers were called to the line near Bodorgan station at 0519 GMT on Tuesday morning. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.

The train involved was the 0448hrs Holyhead to London Euston service.

"Officers are now working to establish the man's identity, inform relatives and prepare a file for the coroner," the spokesman added.
