Rhos-on-Sea beach body woman named by coroner

A coroner has named a woman whose body was found on a beach in Conwy.

Jane Kelly, 43, from Old Colwyn, was discovered by a member of the public on Tuesday near the Cayley embankment at Rhos-on-Sea.

North east Wales deputy coroner John Gittins opened and adjourned a hearing into the death.

An inquest has also been opened into the death of Dorothy Parry, 81 from Benllech, whose body was retrieved from the sea by Moelfre Lifeboat on Tuesday.

It had been spotted by a passing vessel.

Further tests are due to be carried out to determine the cause of Ms Kelly's death but North Wales Police said there appear to be no suspicious circumstances.
