Climber airlifted after 50ft Snowdon fall

A climber was airlifted to hospital with a broken ankle after plunging 50ft (15m) on Snowdon.

The woman, from Kendal in the Lake District, who was with other climbers, was roping on a cliff in an area known as Parson's Nose.

A Sea King helicopter based at Valley in Anglesey flew members of Llanberis Mountain Rescue team to the bottom of the cliff to assist in the rescue.

She was airlifted to hospital in Bangor, Gwynedd.

The incident happened after a male walker was flown to hospital after he fell and hurt his head on Snowdon over the weekend.
