Snowdonia National Park approves Bro Dysynni primary school

The Snowdonia National Park Authority has approved Gwynedd council's plan to build a new primary school.

The new area Bro Dysynni primary school will be built at Llanegryn, but means the closure of four other schools.

Pupils from Ysgol Bryncrug, Ysgol Llwyngwril and Llanegryn will move to the new school, and those from Ysgol Abergynolwyn, which has already closed.

Some local parents are unhappy the school will be built at Llanegryn and not in neighbouring villages.

The application by Gwynedd council was passed by nine votes to four.
