Climbers airlifted off Snowdonia peak

Two climbers have been airlifted from a 3,248ft (990m) peak in Snowdonia just before dawn.

The women, in their 20s and local, had decided to head to the Glyder Fawr summit rather than descend in darkness.

Neither was injured but one was flown to hospital in Bangor to be examined for hypothermia.

They were both said to be well equipped and had set up camp for the night but had sought help because one had become cold in the icy conditions.
