Fatal Maenan crash: Motorcyclist's family pays tribute

The family of a motorcyclist who died after a collision with a car in the Conwy Valley has paid tribute to a "great friend".

Brian Murray, 55, from Corwen, Denbighshire, was taken to hospital but later died following the collision with a Mitsubishi car.

The incident took place on the A470 at Maenan, near Llanrwst, Conwy, at about 10:00 BST on 1 April.

Police are still appealing for witnesses.

Mr Murray's wife Debbie said her life was "empty without him" and "my heart is broken".

His daughter Jessica added: "I love and miss my dad very much. He loved his family so much and was always there for us.

"He also loved his motorbike and nobody could ever have stopped him doing what he loved, it made him who he was."

His son Christopher said: "Dad was also a great friend. Whatever I needed help with he was there. Any problem he would know how to fix it."

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact North Wales Police roads policing unit on 101.
