Community work wins Colwyn Bay FC £10,000

Colwyn Bay FC has won £10,000 as a reward for its community activities over the past 12 months.

The Seagulls beat competition from two other clubs to be named Community Club of the Year at the Football Conference AGM in Newport.

Seagulls director Andrew Keep, who lives in Colwyn Bay and is responsible for community activities, said: "Everybody at the club is thrilled.

"It is reward for all the hard work that has been put in."

Last year the Seagulls won an award from fellow football clubs for their warm welcome and the behaviour of travelling fans.
