Morgan Parry died of natural causes, inquest told

A prominent environmentalist suffering from cancer died after not being given a dose of blood thinning medication following surgery, an inquest heard.

Morgan Parry, 56, of Rhostryfan, Gwynedd, died at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Denbighshire from a pulmonary embolism in January 2014.

North Wales coroner John Gittins recorded a conclusion of natural causes at Friday's inquest in Ruthin.

He said there was no doubt "things might have been done differently."

A spokesman for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board said: "Although we welcome the coroner's verdict, we recognise that some aspects of care could have been better in this case

"We would like to reiterate our condolences to Mr Parry's family for their loss."
