A Conwy town has marked the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice in Wonderland by attempting a world record for the longest line of jam tarts.

People living in Llandudno made the 1,500 tarts needed for Friday's event.

Alice Liddell, the little girl who was Lewis Carroll's inspiration for Alice, spent her family holidays in Llandudno.

The record attempt took place at 12:00 BST and will be confirmed at a later date if they have succeded.
