Fatality causes disruption on north Wales rail line

North Wales rail services have been disrupted after a woman died on the line.

British Transport Police were called at 0518 BST and a woman was found at Saltney Junction, near Chester, after being hit by the 0545 Chester to Wrexham train.

She suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

The line opened at 0830 BST but some disruption could continue for hours.

Arriva Trains Wales Services and Virgin services to Llandudno and Holyhead were affected.

Virgin Trains said it could take most of the morning until normal services resume.
