Two inmates who absconded from an open prison in Monmouthshire have both been returned to custody.

Convicted burglar Joshua Morris, 20, has been charged with escaping from HMP Prescoed on Sunday, after he was arrested in the Swansea area.

He was detained before George Mark Rees, 20, who absconded while serving a seven-year sentence for robbery.

Rees, who was also described as having contacts in Swansea, is also now in custody, said Gwent Police.
