Firefighters rescue man from fire in Pentre, Rhondda

A man has been rescued by firefighters from his blazing home in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the house in Pleasant View, Pentre, amid reports a person was trapped.

One man was carried from the property by firefighters using a rescue stretcher. His condition is not known.

Firefighters from Barry, Pontypridd and Tonypandy were alerted to the blaze shortly before 2300 GMT on Monday.
