Five in hospital after being cut from car in Lewistown


Four adults and a child have been taken to hospital after their car crashed into a wall near Bridgend.

The incident happened at Lewistown at 1540 GMT on Thursday.

South Wales Fire Service cut the occupants from the car. They were all taken to hospital, two via an air ambulance. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The A4061 Blackmill Road was closed until 1820 GMT, affecting traffic between Pantyrawel and Ogmore Vale.

  • The BBC initially reported that a school coach was involved in the crash, but South Wales Police later confirmed that was not the case.
