Pillion rider, 21, hurt after collision in Cardiff

A woman motorcycle pillion passenger is in a serious condition in hospital after a collision with a 4x4 vehicle.

The male rider of the bike suffered facial injuries in the incident on Caerphilly Road, Cardiff.

The collision on Sunday at about 15:00 GMT involved a grey Dodge Journey jeep. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Both motorcycle casualties were taken to Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales where the woman, aged 21, continues to receive treatment.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision, or the manner in which the jeep and black Suzuki motorcycle were being driven prior to the collision, to contact police.
