Pedestrian Kenneth James killed in collision with car near Cwmbran

A 59-year-old pedestrian who was killed in a collision with a car near Cwmbran on Saturday, has been named.

Father-of-three Kenneth James died after an incident with a Skoda Octavia on the A4051 near Pontrhydyrun roundabout at about 19:00 GMT.

Mr James, from Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, has been described as a "wonderful husband, father and friend".

He was a member of the New Harmony Singers, Gwent Dragons' Choir was a life member of Cwmbran Celtic FC.

Gwent Police have asked people with information to contact the force on 101.
