Cardiff road incident: Taxi driver arrested after pedestrians hurt

A taxi driver has been arrested following an incident in the centre of Cardiff during which as many as seven people injured.

South Wales Police said one vehicle was involved in the incident near the Wood Street bridge by the Millennium Stadium at around 19:00 BST.

Some of the injuries have been described as serious but not life threatening.

Casualties are currently being treated in the University Hospital of Wales.

Seven ambulances were dispatched to the bridge, which was temporarily cordoned off to traffic.
