Motorist in Cwmbran river rescue

A man has been rescued after his car crashed through a bridge barrier into a river in Torfaen.

He was rescued by two South Wales fire engine crews and two rescue teams called to Llanyravon Way, Cwmbran, on Wednesday at 14:37 BST.

The man was then taken to hospital. His condition is not known.

Gwent Police are organising the recovery of the vehicle.
