Cardiff bicycle crash boy, 13, 'seriously injured'
A 13-year-old boy has been seriously injured after his bicycle was in a collision with a car in Cardiff.
Police said the boy suffered serious head injuries in the incident involving a gold-coloured Mercedes in Ely at around 16:45 BST on Monday.
He was taken to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, although medical staff did not confirm his condition.
South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them by calling 101 or via their local police stations.
The boy's bicycle had been ridden down an alleyway from the direction of Highmead Road towards Cowbridge Road West where the crash happened, police said.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out.
