Appeal after Vale of Glamorgan car crash kills man, 23

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old man died when his car overturned on a road in the Vale of Glamorgan.

A green Peugeot 206 car driven by local man Andrew Rhodri Thomas was discovered at the junction of Heol Las and Tre Pit Road in Monknash last Friday.

Officers hope to trace the owner of a silver 4x4 vehicle seen in the location around the time of the collision, which happened at about 22:00 BST.

They also want to speak to witnesses.

In particular, they would like people who saw the collision or who may have seen the Peugeot being driven in the Monknash area before the crash to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Wales Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
