Two people have been arrested on suspicion of robbery at a convenience store in Maesteg in south Wales.

Police were called to the alleged raid in Victoria Street at 10:16 BST on Saturday.

Eye witnesses reported seeing armed officers in the area and a road was cordoned off.

South Wales Police said two local males had been arrested and urged anyone with information to contact Bridgend CID on 01656 655555.
