A £6.5m redevelopment plan for a Cardiff leisure centre is expected to get the go ahead.

Eastern Leisure Centre, Llanrumney, will be closed to the public for up to 18 months while the pool and changing rooms are revamped.

A new licensed cafe and juice bar, spin and dance rooms will also be built.

Work is due to start later this year and be completed spring 2016. The plans will be discussed at Cardiff council's cabinet meeting on 12 June.
