Cannibal murder inquest to be held in Newport

An inquest into the death of Cerys Yemm who was found murdered at a hostel in Argoed will be held on Friday.

The 22-year-old died after being attacked in an act of cannibalism by Matthew Williams, 34, on 6 November.

Her inquest is due to be opened and adjourned at the civic centre in Newport.

Matthew Williams died after police fired a Taser stun gun at him at the Sirhowy Arms hostel in Caerphilly.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating the circumstances of his death, but no date has been set yet for an inquest.
