Police are appealing for information after two armed robbers wearing horror movie Scream masks held up a Cardiff off-licence on Sunday.

The thieves forced their way into Bargain Booze on Station Road, Llandaff North, after approaching a staff member at the rear of the premises.

The 27-year-old victim, who was alone in the store, thought the masked men were also in possession of a knife.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101.

The incident happened just after 22:00 GMT, with the robbers demanding cigarettes and store takings, before making off with an Apple computer and iPhone.

Det Insp Lloyd Williams said: "This incident happened at a time of the night when members of the public may have still been out and about .

"I am therefore appealing to anyone who may have seen the suspects in the area of Station Road either before the time of the incident or fleeing from the area to contact the police."
