Youth charged with Swansea Spar 'brick threat' robbery

A 16-year-old has been charged with attempted robbery and criminal damage at a supermarket near Swansea.

Police said around 0515BST on Monday the owner of a Spar in High Street, Gorseinon, was confronted by a youth believed to be armed with a brick who allegedly demanded money.

When the teenager was refused he left and a brick was then thrown through the shop window.

A teenager has been bailed to appear at Swansea Youth Court on Friday.
