Scooter rider, 71, badly injured in Swansea

A 71-year-old motor scooter rider has been seriously injured in a collision involving a car in Swansea.

South Wales Police said the man was in a critical condition in the city's Morriston Hospital after the collision near the Dragon Hotel, Kingsway.

He was riding a black Yamaha scooter, and the car involved was a blue Fiat Panda.

Neither the driver nor passenger in the car were injured in the collision, which happened at 1439 BST on Friday.
