Police investigating the robbery of a vulnerable 70-year-old woman have issued a photograph of a man.

Officers say Darren John Wilcox, whose last known address was in Cardiff, is wanted in connection to the crime in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire.

They say the public should not approach him, describe him as "dangerous" and say he may have a firearm.

The robbery occurred last month when two men entered the victim's house on High Street and took money from a safe.

They pushed the woman leaving her "severely shaken and shocked" but uninjured.

Police said he sometimes uses the names John Gypsy, Darren John, Andrew James Price, Jason Price, Darren Roberts and Damen John Wilcox.

He is white, 5ft 8in, of heavy build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police said he is known to have associates in the Pontypridd and Rhondda areas.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "Police are advising members of the public not to approach Wilcox as he is described as dangerous and could be in possession of a firearm. Instead call 999."

Anyone with any information relating to sightings or who knows where he is can call South Wales Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
