Airlift of injured woman at Three Cliffs Bay on Gower

An injured woman has been airlifted to hospital from a cliff face at a south Wales beauty spot, say rescue services.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said three of its teams were involved in the rescue from a ledge at Three Cliffs Bay, Gower.

South Wales Police said it responded to a call early on Wednesday about the safety of the 27-year-old who was later taken to Morriston hospital, Swansea.

A spokesman said the woman's condition was unknown.

Rescue teams from Mumbles, Oxwich and Rhossilli attended the incident at the Great Tor.
